The First Thanksgiving

With only a few more days until we can officially pull a Joey Tribbiani and put on our Thanksgiving pants, the thought of eating a filled with food along with somehow saving room for dessert makes us all anxious for this day to arrive. But as we eagerly wait, here are some fun facts about the actual First Thanksgiving that probably were not in your history text books. No Invitation On the day of what we call the First Thanksgiving, there was no actual invitation given to the neighboring tribe, the Wampanoag. In fact, after hearing gun shots, the Wampanoag thought they were being attacked and prepared themselves for battle. When they arrived they saw the opposite of what they were expecting, which was dinner being prepared. K-Pop vs. North Korea

With North Korea experimenting with nuclear weapons, and creating fear once again because there is no knowing what Kim Jong Un might do, South Korea has responded by taking action and arming themselves with their best weapon available: K-Pop. Across the DMZ (Demilitrized Zone) a playlist varying different artists which include GFriend, Big Bang, APink, Lee Ae Ran, and others  are being used in a form of propaganda to broadcast to the North about their current culture and democracy. While hoping that the music will draw attention to those living in North Korea, South Korea’s defense ministry hopes that the music will excite their curiosity. While North Korean’s are restricted as to what they can watch and listen to, their government approved stations leaves with not so many options. But despite all this, North Korean’s have become fond of South Korean television, and music. The Best Thanksgiving Television Specials

It is the first week of November and the countdown to eat that special turkey has commenced, along with saying goodbye to those beach bodies we have all worked incredibly hard to achieve. Since there are still a few weeks ahead of us until we can stuff ourselves silly, bypassing the time and getting rid of the anticipation won’t be as difficult by watching these ultimate Thanksgiving themed television episodes. Friends With some of the best Thanksgiving themed episodes, “The Rumor” not only places then husband and wife Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston together, but it makes this episode one of the best when we find out that Ross and Will (aka Brad Pitt) were in a “I Hate Rachel Green” club.
